Like other models in the CCR2004 series, this one is also equipped with the Amazon Annapurna Labs Alpine v2 processor with 4x 64-bit ARMv8-A Cortex-A57 cores. Although this processor runs at 1.2 GHz, the router can be 3 times faster than the previous generation CCR. Enjoy the power of real CCR in peace and quiet. The new router has 18 wired ports, including 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 10G SFP+ cages. It also has an RJ-45 console port on the front panel.

Each group of 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports is connected to a separate switching chip from the Marvell Amethyst family. Each switch chip has a 10 Gbps full-duplex line connected to the processor. The same applies to each SFP+ frame, a separate full-duplex 10 Gb/s line. The boards are equipped with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 128 MB of NAND memory.
