Kawasaki Ki-61-I Hien 'Tony'

The KAWASAKI KI-61 (Japanese "Flying Swallow") was a World War II Japanese fighter plane. Initially, the Americans suspected that the plane was a copy of an Italian design and gave it the nickname "Tony" suggesting Italian roots. The official Japanese name was Army Fighter Model 3. More than 3,000 were produced. It was first encountered by U.S. airmen over Yokohama Harbor during the Doolittle Raid on April 18, 1942.

The Kawasaki plane was designed from COBI construction blocks in 1:32 scale using brand-new elements.
