F/A-18C Hornet Swiss Air Force
The F/A-18C Hornet is a unique model of a multi-role fighter aircraft in the colours of Switzerland. The aircraft has been prepared in model scale 1:48 using 540 COBI building blocks. In the set you will find high-quality prints reproducing the painting of the original machine. The model is equipped with a folding undercarriage and rotating wheels. Under the wings there is a sizeable arsenal of weapons. A special pilot block can be placed in the cabin. The set also includes a block display stand and a plaque containing the name of the aircraft. This exclusive licence set is aimed at every aviation and military fan regardless of age. The aircraft looks equally attractive in a serious study and in a teenager's room.
The Boeing F/A-18CHornet is a US Navy supersonic multirole aircraft that has been in production since 1978. It is one of the US Navy's most modern aircraft. The F-18 aircraft replaced the French Mirage IIIS fighters in Switzerland. In 1992, a contact was signed for the delivery of 34 units. Twenty-six aircraft in the single-seat C version and eight aircraft in the two-seat D version were ordered. Only the first two aircraft were built entirely in the USA. The others were built at the RUAG plant in Emmen, Switzerland.
