The Morane-Saulnier MS.406 was an outstanding French fighter aircraft designed in 1938. It was a single-seat low-wing aircraft of modern design and very good performance. In 1940 it became the basis of the French aviation. Polish pilots also flew this machine as part of the Polish Air Force established in France in 1940. Even before the outbreak of war, Poland ordered aircraft of this type.

Unfortunately, they were not delivered in time. The aircraft was stocked by many armies and used by both the Allies and the Axis powers. It was used by neutral Switzerland for the longest time, until 1959.
